• We at Transylvania 4x4 Tours pride ourselves in our commitment to the environment through responsible tourism. We operate our small business with conservation at the forefront of our minds and aim to give something back to the local communities of Transylvania
• Our tours are carried out in close co-operation with the local people from the communities of Ojdula and Targu Secuiesc. We work with a local operator and use locally owned and managed accommodation to promote sustainable economic activity. We pride ourselves in employing local staff and purchasing locally produced and sourced goods to benefit the wider community.
• We strive to reduce our carbon footprint through minimising energy use and employing rigourous energy conservation measures. We actively try to reduce waste produce through our active reduction and recycling policies.
• Global warming is a reality. To assist you in reducing the carbon dioxide that is produced when you travel to Transylvania we offer you a chance to carbon balance your flights. We encourage all our clients to do this and do so for all our staff travel.
• Our team will give a briefing on Responsible Tourism issues to help you understand how you can help reduce your impact and maximise the benefits to the local community. Groups are limited to six to reduce cultural and environmental impact
